Altar Call

Welcome to Salvation.

The simple truth is - God loves us; in fact, He is in love with you, and me too. He loves us so much that He gave to us the best that Heaven had to offer: His son, Jesus!

John 3:16....For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

God's love is not like human love. It's an AGAPE (an unconditional, universal good will) love. That means that He is a forgiving God and His love for you and I never changes. What a love!

God knows that we would never be able to measure up to His standard. "All have sinned and come short of the glory of God."

But He cared so much that He decided to reach down to us. Would you like to reach back to God today? You can, by saying this prayer:

Heavenly Father, I come to you confessing that I am a sinner. I repent from my sins and ask you for your forgiveness. I believe in my heart that Jesus Christ is the Son of God and that You raised him from the dead. I confess that Jesus is my Lord and Savior. I believe that through His shed blood, I have eternal life. Please come into my heart and fill me with Your Holy Spirit. Lead me and guide me so that my soul can reach heaven. Father, I pray this prayer in Jesus name, Amen!

If you prayed this prayer in earnest, you are SAVED! Your sins have been forgiven and you are now one in the body of Christ.

Now, you may be saying to yourself, "That's all? You mean, all I had to do was say the words and I become saved?" Well, the truth is that salvation is more than a simple prayer. Becoming saved is not a work that we can do, but rather the good news that was done over two millenniums ago when Jesus Christ died for you and me. When you say the prayer, you simply accept his gift of salvation, connecting with him in a new way that lets him enter your heart and start the change!

Notice, I said "start the change." The reason you may be beginning is because, like me, there were a lit of bad habits that I had to break while working out my salvation in Jesus Christ. All of a sudden, my eyes were open to explicit and implicit things that I should be doing differently so that God, the creator of Heaven and Earth, would be pleased with my life. Gradually those things needed to change in me, and likewise for you. But don't give up in the process. It may not be the easiest of transitions but, believe me, it will be the most wonderful and worthwhile journey of your life. To know that you have a relationship with the Almighty God, that He is pleased with your life, and that you will have everlasting life now that your saved is the best feeling to wake up to morning after morning.

Celebrate this moment in your life! I'm glad you decided to give your life to Jesus today. You will want to get connected with a church family and other believers so you can share your experiences with them and grow with them on this journey.
